Avoid Hot Dogs

Diet changes can lower triglycerides and bad (LDL) cholesterol. One need not give up tasty foods to gain benefits.

The Mayo Clinic offers information about diet for this reason.

Look out. PETA will be protesting outside your house for posting that picture.

My doc has prescribed 1000mg fish oil twice a day to help lower my triglycerides. I am not a hot dog fan,so I must be getting them elsewhere.

I eat a few pecans, walnuts and/or almonds almost every day. I also try to include fish (unbreaded) in my diet at least once or twice a week. And I consume whole grain breads and cereals almost exclusively.
Some food products now advertise Omega 3 Oil content on their labels.

I've seen the Omega 3 oil advertised to be in various products. For now I am doing the fish oil regimen.
