If you've never tried a tuna melt grilled with sourdough bread, you are in for a real treat. The combination of Albacore Tuna, sweet Vidalia Onion, mayo, choice of cheese and this scrumptious bread grilled in butter will tantalize your taste buds.

Tuna melt on sourdough is the only way to fly! It's my kids favorite, too. Tuna+Sourdough=the perfect marriage of flavor.

I have sourdough starter in my fridge that I started without store-bought yeast. If you're nice to me maybe I'll give you some of the starter. ;-)

That sounds great! Do you have a good sourdough bread recipe for a bread maker? You know, the best loaves I've ever baked did not come out of a box.
The bread I used for the melts is whole grain. Got it at TRADER JOE'S. Anyone lucky enough to have a Trader Joe's within a reasonable drive should check it out, if they've not already done so.

I think you will really enjoy it, J. I'm thinking about adding some sliced green olives next time.
